AHA Governing Committee Monthly Meeting Summary: January 2022

Here is a summary of the January 2022 meeting of your American Homebrewers Association Governing Committee (GC):

  • We discussed the need for either more or fewer meetings to cover important topics and the possible use of break-out groups, formal discussions, or extended meeting time to discuss ideas and issues.
  • We began a review of the current subcommittee structure to determine which ones should remain as standing subcommittees, which ones can be moved to ad hoc status to be activated when needed, which new ones can be added, which ones can be disbanded, and which ones can be restructured
  • We began a discussion how the Governing Committee can better work with the Brewers Association to utilize their resources to benefit the AHA and its membership.
  • Governing Committee Elections will run from February 15, 2022 through March 31, 2022.
  • MacKenzie Staples will issue a call for seminar proposals for Homebrew Con 2022 within the next week or so.
  • During the next couple months we will formalize how AHA members can become involved with the various Governing Committee Subcommittees.
