AHA Governing Committee Monthly Meeting Summary: May 2022

Here is a summary of the May 2022 meeting of your American Homebrewers Association Governing Committee (GC):

• We recognized outgoing Governing Committee members Denny Conn (16 years), Donna Reuter (three years), and Carvin Wilson (three years) for their service to the Governing Committee.
• We continued work on the mission statements for the various subcommittees of the GC. Each subcommittee will also have a charter.
• There will be no online meeting of the GC in June as we will hold our annual in-person meeting at Homebrew Con.
• The three incoming membersof the GC (Matt Bolling, Melissa McCann, Doug Piper) will be involved in an orientation meeting on May 18.
• Evaluation of the nominees for the Radegast Club of the Year award is continuing and should be wrapped up shortly.
• Forty-five talks and 3,700 National Homebrew Competition entries will happen at Homebrew Con.
• We reviewed the Health and Wellness guidelines for Homebrew Con. These guidelines are also online.
