Inspired by a President (Russian Imperial Stout)
Mash at 155°F (68.3°C) for 90 minutes. Fly sparge with 170°F (76.7°C) water until 6.5 gallons (24.6 L) are recovered in the kettle
Boil for 60 minutes. Add hop pellets at 60 minutes and the sugars at 15 minutes.
Rack to the fermentor and pitch yeast. Ferment at 65°F (18.3°C).
After primary fermentation, prepare fresh orange zest (1 large Naval orange), collect it in a hop bag, and add it to the beer. Repeat the following 1 week if desired.
