AHA Governing Committee Monthly Meeting Summary: June 2021

Here is a summary of the June meeting of your American Homebrewers Association Governing Committee (GC).

• We are near the end of the thirty-day period for member comments on the revised bylaws. If you have comments or corrections, please forward them to Roxanne Westendorf or Goose Steingass.
• We were updated on homebrewing legislation that is currently working its way through the Ohio legislature. This would amend the Ohio Liquor Law, which is currently silent with regard to homebrewers, to bring it into agreement with what is permitted under federal law and the liquor laws of neighboring states.
• We discussed several aspects of the upcoming virtual Homebrew Con which will include seven meetups and breakout discussion groups. This is something new for Homebrew Con this year.
• We began preparations for our annual Governing Committee meeting that will be held over two separate 2 hour sessions in July which will have a focus on membership.
